Researching psychologists say those participating in Contests, DX’ing and other self-aggrandizing activities are mentally ill. They suffer from a narcissistic personality disorder; ...namely egotism and self-obsession. They care nothing about others and all that matters is the contest.
Only the ARRL could conceive of a contest that runs each and every day for an entire year! They have completely lost sight of the original reason the Amateur Radio Service was created.
